Rudy S. Younes is a researcher at the IDEES Multidisciplinary Research Group of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). He holds a Master's in Intervention and Social Intervention and is a graduate student in Clinical Psychology at USEK. His research centers on social psychology, community psychology, and sociology. He has worked on several research projects focusing on peace and conflict, mental health in society, religious and cultural pluralism, and social gerontology. Most notably, he was the recipient of a research grant awarded by the American Psychological Association, Peace Psychology Division.
Clara Moukarzel is a researcher at the IDEES Multidisciplinary Research Group of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), where she contributed to numerous social research projects. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a minor in Psychology, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Intervention and Social Work at the same institution. She collaborated with a variety of local and international organizations, including the Women Pastoral Office, CNRS, SOS Children’s Village, and SESOBEL. Her research contributions also include co-authored publications in social psychology and sociology, tackling pressing social issues in the Lebanese context, such as the 2020 Beirut Port Explosion, collective trauma, and the sociology of religion. Her research interests focus active citizenship, peacebuilding and education, social change, cultural and religious pluralism, child and youth studies, family studies, and women and youth empowerment.
Chantale Ibrahim is a researcher at the IDEES Multidisciplinary Research Group of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). She holds a Master’s degree in Intervention and Social Work from USEK. She is committed to advancing knowledge in the social sciences and has played a leading role in numerous research initiatives and co-authored publications. Her expertise includes designing and implementing monitoring frameworks, conducting both quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, grant writing, coordinating action-research projects, and report writing. Throughout her career, Chantale has collaborated with a wide range of local and international organizations, including Pharos Observatory, Adyan Foundation, Women Pastoral Office, WUCWO, the U.S. Embassy, CRDP, CNRS, SOS Children’s Village, and SESOBEL. Her research interests focus on women and youth empowerment, peacebuilding, family studies, active citizenship, social justice, activism, cultural and religious pluralism, and social change.
Mirna Abboud Mzawak is a full professor in social sciences. She holds her PhD from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). She is currently the coordinator of the IDEES Multidisciplinary Research Group and Director of the Higher Center for Research (HCR). She has been involved in a multitude of projects pertaining to sociology of religion, cultural and religious pluralism, sociology of the family, citizenship, and women empowerment. She is currently the Coordinator of the Office for the Pastoral Office of Women at the Maronite Church and is leading the Maronite Church’s “Synod for Women”. She is also the author of the books “Les familles maronites face à leur Maronité” (Maronite families facing their Maronity) and “L'engagement chrétien entre conception et vécu” (Christian commitment between conception and experience), and has published a number of articles, conference papers, and presentations in social sciences.
