Dr. Maitreyee Dey is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director at the Cyber Security Research Centre at London Metropolitan University. She is also the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Neuville Grid Data and a Visiting Fellow at London South Bank University. Before joining LondonMet, she was a Post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at London South Bank University, and she holds the post of Data Mining Lead of Neuville Grid Data Management Limited. She worked on Solar farm data analysis using machine learning and data mining methods for the Access to Innovation (A2i) and Low Carbon London (LCLDN) project funded by the EU Commission through its regional development fund. She completed her PhD at London South Bank University, London, U.K. Her research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, big data analysis, deep learning, image processing, energy optimisation in smart buildings, renewable energy technology, and Computer-aided Diagnosis using Machine Learning/AI for smart health.
Dr. Soumya Prakash Rana is a Lecturer at the University of Greenwich. Before that, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at The University of Manchester (UoM), Manchester, UK, working in the field of radar principles analysis and classification. Dr. Rana was also a Visiting Fellow at London South Bank University (LSBU) and a Scientific Team member of UBT Srl, Italy. Dr. Rana has completed his PhD from London South Bank University, London, UK. His research interests include human physiological analysis, localisation, gait analysis, machine learning, pattern recognition, big data analysis, deep learning, image processing, energy optimisation in smart buildings, renewable energy technology, and Computer-aided Diagnosis using Machine Learning/AI for smart health.
Professor Preeti Patel was educated in the United Kingdom and holds a BSc in Computer Science (1986), an MSc in Database and Information Systems (1992), and a PhD in Computing (2017) from UK universities. Prof. Patel is currently the Co-Director of the AI and Data Science Research Group and the Strategy Advisor for the GENESIS Research Lab at London Metropolitan University. She is the Chair of the Ethics Approval Panel and the Co-ordinator for Research Engagement and Impact within the School of Computing and Digital Media. Her current research interests include AI-driven learning technologies, synthetic data, big data fusion, the data science curriculum, and data analytics for gender-based violence. Prof. Patel is a Principal Fellow of Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), a member of the British Computer Society, the Chartered Institute for IT, and an associate Member of the Chartered Management Institute.
