Antonio Tursi is a Medical Director at ASL BAT. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Territorial Gastroenterology at the Catholic University of Rome. He obtained a Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1993 and a Specialization in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in 1997. He has been a Medical Director in Gastroenterology since February 2004 and a Manager of the Territorial Gastroenterology Service of the ASL BAT since 2009. His research is in the areas of Celiac disease, diverticular disease of the colon, helicobacter pylori infection, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Raffaele Pellegrino, who graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, is involved in clinical activities as a Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy practitioner at the Department of Precision Medicine, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. Additionally, he is enrolled in a Ph.D. program in "Clinical and Experimental Medical Sciences" at the same university. He is a member of the Italian Society of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy (SIGE), European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation, Italian Group for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IG-IBD), Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SIED), and United European Gastroenterology. His research primarily focuses on the safety and efficacy of biologic drugs in IBD, the epidemiological stratification of patients with IBD for a tailored approach, translational studies to investigate new therapeutic targets for IBD, and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Prof. Edoardo Vincenzo Savarino received his medical and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy. He completed his residency training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the Department of Internal Medicine, Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria San Martino of Genoa, Genoa, Italy. Presently, he is an associate professor of gastroenterology at the University of Padua, Padua, Italy. He is mainly interested in neurogastroenterology and immune-mediated diseases, including inflammatory bowel diseases and eosinophilic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. He has published extensively (h-index 60; published papers n = 536) on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal motility disorders, Barrett’s esophagus, chronic gastritis, functional GI disorders (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome), eosinophilic esophagitis, and inflammatory bowel diseases. He has received various prizes for his work from the UEG Federation, the OESO foundation, the ISDE, and Società Italiana di Gastroenterologia ed Endoscopia. He is a reviewer for various journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gut, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Neurogastroenterology and Motility (NMO).
Antonietta Gerarda Gravina is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Precision Medicine, Division of Hepatogastroenterology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. She earned her MD and Ph.D. from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in 2005 and 2012, respectively. She is interested in GI research in radical species and nitric oxide in chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases, food and nutrition in digestive pathology, nutraceuticals and GI diseases.
