Dr. hab. Aleksandra Kładna is a Head of the History of Medicine and Medical Ethics Department at Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. She obtained a Ph.D. of medicine in 1986 and of Habilitation in 1996. She is a medical specialist in Dermatology with Venerology. In 2008 she completed postgraduate studies at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration, in medical law, bioethics, and medical sociology. In 2011, she obtained the title of specialist in palliative medicine. In 2020, she was appointed to the Team of Experts to develop and update the specialization program in the field of palliative medicine. Dr. Kładna is an active member of numerous scientific societies and has authored or co-authored over 200 publications in the fields of social medicine, health promotion, and the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases. Deeply committed to academic mentorship, she is actively engaged in mentoring emerging researchers and has supervised numerous doctoral, master's, and bachelor's theses.
