Halil Burak DEMİR was born in Konya, Türkiye, in 1993. He
received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering
from Pamukkale University, Niğde, and Necmettin Erbakan University, Konya, Türkiye,
in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He is currently working on observers used in
induction motor control for the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical
and Electronics Engineering, Nigde Ömer Halisdemir University, Nigde, Türkiye since
January 2020. His current research interests include electrical motors and
drives, speed-sensorless control, and observer design for state and parameter
estimation.
Murat Barut was born in Gaziantep, Türkiye, in 1973. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from Erciyes University, Kayseri, Türkiye, in 1995, the M.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Niğde University, Niğde, Türkiye, in 1997, the Ph.D. degree (with Siemens Excellence Award) in computer and control engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Türkiye, in 2005, and the second Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks, USA, in 2006.
He was is a Visiting Scholar with the Prof. Chris (Chunting) Mi’s Research Group, University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA. He is currently a Professor and the Head of the Electrical Machine Division as well as the Head of the Power Control Research Group, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Niğde, Türkiye.
His current research interests include motion control, electrical drives, power electronics, mechatronics, nonlinear observers, estimator design for electromechanical systems, and artificial-intelligence-based modeling, optimization, and control of electrical machines.
Recep Yildiz was born in Kars, Turkey, in 1990. He received
the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in
electrical and electronics engineering from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University,
Niğde, Türkiye, in 2014, 2016, and 2021, respectively. He is currently an
Assistant Professor and a member of the Power Control Research Group,
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir
University, Niğde, Türkiye. His current research interests include electrical
motors and drives, speed-sensorless control, and observer design for state and
parameter estimation.
Emrah Zerdali received the B.Sc. degree from Pamukkale
University, Denizli, Türkiye, in 2009, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Niğde
Ömer Halisdemir University, Niğde, Türkiye, in 2011 and 2016, respectively, all
in electrical and electronics engineering. He is currently an Associate
Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ege
University, Izmir, Türkiye, and is a Visiting Scholar with the Power
Electronics, Machines, and Control (PEMC) Research Group, University of Nottingham,
U.K. He is also a Researcher with the Power Control Research Group, Department
of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University,
Niğde, Türkiye. His current research interests include electric machines and
drives, model predictive control, speed-sensorless control, fault-tolerant
control, and state/parameter estimation of electric machines.
