Ji Hun Kim, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Uijeongbu St. Mary’s Hospital, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He received his M.D. degree from Hallym University and earned master’s degrees in Applied Data Science from Sungkyunkwan University and in Biostatistics from Korea National Open University. His research focuses on medical artificial intelligence, clinical decision support systems, and machine learning applications in emergency and critical care medicine.

Euijin Jang, M.D., Ph.D.,is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. She earned both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from Seoul National University, where her research focused on clinical microbiology and emerging infectious diseases. Her clinical and research interests include antimicrobial resistance, management of infectious diseases in immunocompromised patients, and novel pathogen surveillance.

Seongman Bae, M.D., Ph.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He obtained both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from the University of Ulsan, where his graduate research focused on antimicrobial resistance and hospital epidemiology. His major research interests include antibiotic stewardship, healthcare-associated infections, and emerging infectious diseases.

Jiwon Jung, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Director of the Infection Control Office at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Dr. Jung earned both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from the University of Ulsan, where her research focused on hospital epidemiology and infection prevention. Min Jae Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He obtained his Doctoral degree in Medicine from Seoul National University. His clinical expertise covers central nervous system infections, head and neck infections, parasitic diseases, and febrile illnesses after international travel. Dr. Kim’s current research interests include tropical medicine, neuroinfectious diseases, and global health.

Yong Pil Chong, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Director of the Infection Control Office at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He earned both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from the University of Ulsan, where his academic training focused on clinical infectious diseases and antimicrobial therapy. Dr. Chong has extensive experience in the management of complex infections, including HIV infection, fever of unknown origin, and multidrug-resistant bacterial infections. Sung-Han Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor and the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He received both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from Seoul National University, where his academic work focused on infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. Dr. Kim has extensive experience in the management of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, infections in immunocompromised patients, and HIV infection. His research interests include antimicrobial resistance, clinical epidemiology, and infection prevention in high-risk populations.

Sang-Ho Choi, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He earned both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from Seoul National University, where his academic focus was on clinical infectious diseases. Dr. Choi previously served as the Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center from 2014 to 2018 and was a Visiting Scholar at the Bloomsbury Institute of Intensive Care Medicine, University College London, United Kingdom, in 2022. His clinical expertise includes infections in critically ill patients, HIV infection, and sepsis management.

Sang-Oh Lee, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He earned both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from the University of Ulsan, where his academic focus was on clinical infectious diseases and transplant-related infections. Dr. Lee has held several key leadership positions, including serving as the Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases from 2018 to 2024 and as the Director of the Office of Digital Information Innovation at Asan Medical Center from 2020 to 2024. His clinical expertise encompasses extrapulmonary tuberculosis, fever of unknown origin, and infections in solid organ transplant recipients.

Yang Soo Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He earned both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Medicine from Seoul National University and has devoted his career to the study of Staphylococcus aureus, antimicrobial resistance, and infection control. Dr. Kim is widely recognized as one of Korea’s leading experts on S. aureus and antimicrobial stewardship. He has held numerous leadership positions, including Chair of the National Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), Director of the Center for Antimicrobial-Resistant Microbes at the University of Ulsan, and Chair of multiple international and national scientific conferences such as ISSSI (2016), ICIC, and ISAAR (2019). He currently serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the National Infectious Disease Safety R&D Program under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Dr. Kim has received several national honors, including the Order of Civil Merit (Pomegranate Medal) from the Korean government, for his contributions to infection control and public health policy. His research continues to focus on the molecular epidemiology of S. aureus, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and evidence-based antibiotic policy development.
