Jean-Claude Micha is a professor of Ecology, Hydrobiology and Aquaculture at the University of
Namur and UCL in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. They are also a visiting professor at the National
University of Benin, the University of Burundi, the Universities of Kinshasa
and Kisangani, the Abdou Moumouni University in Niger, and the Houari
Boumediene University of Science and Technology in Algiers, Algeria. Their studies are on
continental and brackish aquatic environments, mainly focusing on fish and
crustaceans and activities focused on sustainable fisheries and integrated
agro-fish farming.
