Author Biographies

Mateusz Pomianek received his Ph.D. in Engineering and Technical Sciences from the Institute of Optoelectronics at the Military University of Technology (MUT) and is now an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer and Control Engineering at the Rzeszów University of Technology (RUT). His research topics mainly include multispectral image processing, natural human–computer interaction, optoelectronics, affective computing, biometrics, computer vision, machine learning, and extended reality systems.
Marek Piszczek, Ph.D., is a Professor at the Institute of Optoelectronics, Military University of Technology (MUT), Warsaw, Poland, where he has been affiliated since 1996. He received his Ph.D. in Electronics (metrology specialization) in 2000 and his postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in Automation, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering in 2020. He is the founder of the Research Laboratory of Image Information Engineering at MUT. His research interests include computer vision, image-based information processing, machine learning, natural human–computer interaction, intelligent distributed systems, and extended/virtual reality technologies. Prof. Piszczek has participated in numerous national and international R&D initiatives (NCBR, EDA, H2020), focusing on terahertz sensing, XR applications, and critical infrastructure protection. He is the author or co-author of nearly 100 scientific publications, including the monograph Narzędzia technologii wirtualnych a poznawanie rzeczywistości. Teoria i zastosowania (2019), and holds four patent applications.
Paweł Stawarz, Ph.D. Eng., is a teaching and research assistant at the Rzeszów University of Technology (RUT). He graduated with distinction from the General School of Art in Rzeszów, Poland, with a degree in Visual Advertisement, followed by a BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Department of Computer and Control Engineering at the Rzeszów University of Technology, Poland. He is a member of the MENSA society and has an interest in artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, graphic design, and video game development.
