Giammarco Mancinelli is a final-year PhD candidate in Sociology at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris), in cotutelle with the University of Padua. His doctoral dissertation explores the role and evolving forms of Islamic religious aggregation in the life trajectories of second-generation Muslims in Northern Italy, based on ethnographic fieldwork and biographical interviews conducted between 2022 and 2023. His research interests include Islam in Europe, migration studies, citizenship, and second generations. He has taught as an adjunct lecturer in several French universities, participated in numerous international conferences, and completed various academic training programs within the Parisian academic environment. A native Italian speaker, he wrote his doctoral thesis in French and also uses English to actively participate in international academic debates.
