Dr. Seema Kumar is a consultant in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. She completed her Residency and Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Kumar conducts research primarily related to the treatment of childhood obesity and related comorbidities. Her clinical interests and research center on novel modalities for weight loss and treatment of type 2 diabetes and lipid disorders in children and adolescents, with particular interest in the efficacy and long-term consequences of medications and bariatric surgery in adolescents.
