Khurram
Altaf is a Senior Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Universiti
Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. He received his Master’s in Applied
Mechanics and Design from the University of Engineering and Technology in
2001, and earned his Ph.D. in Additive Manufacturing/Rapid Tooling from UTP in
2011. He has several years of industrial and research/development experience in
the public and private sectors before joining UTP. His research interests
include additive manufacturing (AM)/3D printing (3DP), Rapid Tooling, 3D
printing for metal casting, metal AM, design for additive manufacturing (DfAM), and advanced composite materials for
AM/3DP.
Prof Srinivasa Rao Pedapati is currently working at the College of Engineering and Sciences, University of Texas Permian Basin, USA. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has more than 30 years in an academic career and has supervised 9 students for their doctoral degree. He has completed 8 sponsored research projects funded by government and industry across multiple countries. His scholarly contributions include 120 research papers as of Jan 2025 and 3 intellectual property rights in India and Malaysia. Dr Pedapati serves as a guest editor and reviewer for several peer reviewed journals, a member of the ASME, and a fellow of the Institution of Engineers (I). His research interests include welding, friction stir processing, additive manufacturing, and OG pipelines.
