Prof. Rafał Urbaniak graduated from the Faculty of Working Machines and Transport at the Poznań University of Technology. Since 2002, he has been closely connected with the solid fuel heating equipment industry, both for individual and municipal heating applications. He is the author and co-author of over one hundred scientific publications, monographs, and expert reports and the creator of patents and industrial implementations in heating technology. He has served as the head and principal investigator of numerous national R&D projects and has extensive experience as an academic lecturer, supervising engineering, master’s, and doctoral theses. He also works as an external expert for the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and as a court expert in the field of combustion process optimization. Since 2014, he has been the President of the Management Board of BRAGER Sp. z o.o., a leading manufacturer of combustion control and optimization systems and environmental protection solutions.
