Dr. Galo Gallardo Carrillo is a Professor-Researcher at the
Central University of Ecuador and holds a PhD in Agri-food and Environmental
Economics from the University Polytechnic de València, Spain. Trained as both a
Civil Engineer and a Master’s degree holder in Business Management, he has
developed an interdisciplinary career that bridges economics, sustainability,
and organizational studies. His research focuses on governance, transparency,
innovation, and sustainability in nonprofit and public organizations, with
special attention to the Latin American context. Dr. Gallardo Carrillo has
published articles and books indexed internationally, has served as Academic
Editor of peer-reviewed journals, and has led funded research projects in areas
such as cultural heritage, accessibility, and sustainable development. He
previously held leadership positions in financial risk management at the
National Development Bank of Ecuador. He has received national awards,
including the Central University of Ecuador Prize, as well as international
accolades, such as cum laude from the Polytechnic University of Valencia,
Spain, for his academic contributions. Furthermore, he actively participates in
professional and academic networks that promote sustainability and
accountability within organizations.
César A. Amores L. is a mathematician
from the National Polytechnic School, with a Higher Diploma in Demography from
the University of Cuenca. He holds two master's degrees, one in Development
Economics from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and
another in Business Management (MBA) from the National Polytechnic School. He
is a doctoral candidate in Demography at the National University of Córdoba,
Argentina.
He is currently an
associate professor and researcher at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the
Central University of Ecuador (UCE) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
He has been a researcher for various undergraduate and graduate programs in the
field of statistics at different universities in the Republic of Ecuador. He is
a mentor for the Master's Degree in Applied Statistics at the Faculty of
Economic Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador.
He has been director of
Sociodemographic Statistics at the National Institute of Statistics and
Censuses (INEC), director of the Social Program Beneficiary Selection System
(SELBEN), and consultant to international organizations such as the World Bank,
ILO, and DFID. He is the author of one book, six scientific articles, and at
least four international conferences.
