Prof. Dr. Yuandong Hu holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture from Northeast Forestry University and a doctorate in Urban Ecology from East China Normal University. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Western Australia. He is an associate professor at the College of Landscape Architecture, the director of the Landscape Architecture Planning and Design Teaching and Research Section, and the director of the Center for Urban and Rural Landscape Ecology and Low-Carbon Engineering Technology at Northeast Forestry University. He is also the vice dean of the Institute of Ecological Science and Engineering in Arid and Semi-arid Regions at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. His research focuses on urban ecology and ecological design, urban biodiversity and ecosystem services, and landscape planning and ecological restoration.
