Vasiliki Eirini Chatzea is a healthcare manager and experienced researcher. She graduated from the Department of Health and Welfare Management, Technological Educational Institute of Athens. Ms. Chatzea also holds a master's degree in Public Health and Health Care Management, specialized in Epidemiology, from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Crete (UoC), and a master's in "Management and Digital Transformation" awarded by the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU). Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of HMU in the field of serious games for nursing education, while at the same time, she attends a bachelor's program in "Management Science and Technology". During the pandemic, she served as deputy director at a Greek public hospital (2020-2021). She has also worked in several research programs in the field of Public Health as a research associate of the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine, UoC, while presently she is a research associate of the Natural Interactive Learning Edification Games Laboratory (NILE Lab) at HMU focusing on digital education. She is an experienced scientific writer with several publications (h-index 16), an editor, a review editor, and a reviewer in selected scientific journals. Her main research interests include game based learning, serious games, digital education, healthcare, and public health.
