Dr. Ikram Bashir is Researcher on Agronomy and Plant breeding, Genetics. Currently working as a agronomist at Laboratory of Botany, Universidade do Vale do Taquari, Lajeado, RS, Brazil. He completed his PhD studies on Plant breeding at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas, master’s in plant breeding and bachelor’s in agriculture from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is interested in development of abiotic stress resistance cultivates and bioherbicide development for sustainable agriculture. Major research interests include Genetic Resources and Pre-breeding of Crop Wild Relatives; Sustainable Management and bioherbicide development from erva mate and other Brazilian native species as replacement of synthetic herbicide.
