Ayaka Matsuo received her medical doctor degree from the University of the Ryukyus Faculty of Medicine in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mayland Global Campus in 2019. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She started her career as a neurosurgeon in 2019 and worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Neurosurgery, Nagasaki University Hospital (2023-now).
Michiharu Yoshida received his M.D. in Medicine from Tottori University in 2009 and earned his Ph.D. in Neurosurgery from the Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University, in 2018. He is now pursuing a visiting researcher position at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nagasaki University, and is chief neurosurgeon at Nagasaki Kita Hospital. His research topics mainly include malignant brain tumors, focused ultrasound, microbubbles, 5-aminolevulinic acid, sonodynamic therapy, and drug delivery systems.
