Dr. Flavio Alves Lara is an associate
researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She earned
her Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology from the Instituto de
Microbiologia at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal
do Rio de Janeiro), her Master of Science in biotechnology from the State
University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Estadual do Norte
Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro), and her Ph.D. in medical biochemistry from the
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro).
Dr. Lara has published over 60 papers in various journals, including
Toxicology, Pathogens, Neurochemistry, and Microbiology and Immunology, and
more.
