Hideki Furuya is an Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. He earned his PhD in Agriculture from Meiji University and has received recognition for his research contributions in translational oncology. He leads NIH/NCI-funded projects focused on biomarker discovery, assay development, and therapeutic innovation in bladder, breast, and upper tract urothelial cancers. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific publications, as well as a collaborator in national and international research consortia. His teaching and mentoring activities include training graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty in cancer biomarker research and translational methods. His research interests encompass liquid biopsy, spatial and bulk multi-omics, and the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for cancer precision medicine.
