Anna Wilkinson is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the
Burnet Institute, Monash University. Anna Wilkinson received a Bachelor of
Nursing from Griffith University in 2001, a Master of Public Health from the
University of Melbourne in 2010, a Ph.D. in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Monash
University in 2016, and a Master of Biostatistics from Monash University in
2021. Anna Wilkinson’s key research in infectious diseases epidemiology
includes: 1. monitoring and evaluation of the response to blood borne viruses
and sexually transmissible infections, using data from the ACCESS project; 2. indicators
and metrics for evaluating public health policy; and 3. surveillance systems and
use of surveillance data including administrative data for evaluation and
monitoring.
Katherine B Gibney completed infectious diseases training
(FRACP) in 2010 and public health training (FAFPHM) in 2015, earned a Ph.D. at
Monash University in 2016, examining the burden of selected infectious diseases
in Australia and the national infectious diseases surveillance system.
Currently, she is an Associate Professor and a Principal Research Fellow in the
Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Melbourne. Her group
undertakes clinical and epidemiological research into infectious diseases of
public health importance, including group A streptococcal disease, Buruli
ulcer, vector borne diseases and COVID.
Katherine Heath is a Senior Research Officer at Burnet
Institute, Melbourne, Australia, and is a Consultant of the World Health
Organization, Department of Reproductive Health & Research. She earned her BA
in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 2013, her MSc in Epidemiology
from Imperial College London in 2014, and her Ph.D. in Zoology from the University
of Oxford in 2019. Her work centres on equitable healthcare access with a focus
on HIV, viral hepatitis and syphilis. She targets health systems and policy
reform to improve healthcare access.
