Author Biographies

Jovana Blagojević is a doctoral student at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her research explores how group singing and music theatre support youth well-being and socio-emotional development through collaborative music-making. She is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Education, University of Novi Sad, where she conducts the choir of faculty and supervises students’ practical work. At the faculty, she created and continues to lead the extracurricular musical theatre program, promoting creativity, empathy, diversity, and empowerment through student-led performances. She is a member of Serbia’s National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, contributing to evaluations of university music programs. She is co-author of the school musical, designed as an educational resource to support collaboration, inclusion, creative thinking, and experiential learning for adolescents. Her work emphasizes the transformative potential of music in youth education and well-being.
Dr. Katarina Habe is an associate professor at the University of Ljubljana, Academy of Music, and founder of the interdisciplinary research programme Music for Health and Wellbeing. She holds a doctoral degree in psychology from the University of Ljubljana, where she also completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Her psychological and musical professional career combines both academic and research work, focusing on the psychology of music, especially music performance anxiety, flow, music inclusion, and music as a means for fostering health and well-being. Over the years, she has been actively engaged in teaching courses related to psychology and music, mentoring students, and leading research projects that explore the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and music. In addition to her academic commitments, she has contributed to international conferences and published widely in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of several professional organizations in the fields of psychology and music, reflecting her strong involvement in advancing interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange.
Boštjan Bajec earned a degree and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Ljubljana in 2009. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. His teaching and research focus on work and organizational psychology, group dynamics, communication, motivation, and personality. He has contributed to quality development within the university through committee work, tutoring, and project leadership. In addition to academic duties, he is active in employee assistance programs (EAPs), providing support in crisis situations and promoting mental well-being at work. His professional interests include workplace well-being, teamwork, leadership, and effective organizational communication.
