Ricardo A. Casonatto is an Industrial Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Brasilia (UnB). He is a member of IEEE and served as the President of the Computer Intelligence Society (CIS) student chapter at UnB in 2024. His interests include artificial intelligence, operations research, and systems simulation, with a focus on optimization in healthcare and sustainability. He is currently affiliated with the ORLab (Operations Research Lab) at UnB and the Kamaleswaran Lab at Duke University as a volunteer researcher.
Tales P. G. Souza is an Industrial Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Brasilia (UnB), Brazil. He is currently an exchange student in Economics at the University of Granada, Spain. He was an Undergraduate Research Fellow (URF), co-authoring a research paper on a didactic model for data science based on the CRISP-DM methodology. His interests include data science, business strategy, and operational research.
Gustavo Henrique P. Silva is an Industrial Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Brasilia (UnB). He is a member of Egalitarian, an international project supported by Erasmus+, which focuses on SDG-related initiatives in collaboration with Minho University, Saxion University, Aalborg University and UnB. His interests lie in specializing in data engineering, particularly within the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem. He holds four Microsoft certifications (DP-900, AZ-900, DP-600, and AI-900) and is continuously expanding his expertise in cloud computing and technology.
Victor Hugo R. de Oliveira is an Industrial Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Brasilia (UnB). He previously served as the President of the university's Consulting Club and currently works as a Business Consultant, advising Fortune 500 companies and leading corporations in Brazil. He has participated in various leadership programs, such as ProLider from Brazil and the Aspire Leaders Program, developed in partnership with Harvard Business School. His main interests include business strategy, corporate consulting, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Simone B. S. Monteiro has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU), a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar) in Quality Management as well as a specialization in Lean Production. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Brasilia (UnB) and the Coordinator of the Industrial Engineering undergraduate program. She has experience in project-based learning (PjBL), quality management, process improvement, and risk and project management and has led research projects in partnership with the Brazilian Army, the Armed Forces Hospital, and the Brazilian National School for Judicial Training and Improvement (ENFAM).
