Dr. Anıl Gürkan Aksu received his PhD in Veterinary Obstetrics and Gynecology from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Türkiye, with a dissertation focusing on the regulation of the endocannabinoid system in canine pyometra. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded the prestigious YÖK 100/2000 Scholarship in the field of Reproductive Immunology.
He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, including SCI-Expanded indexed journals such as the Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, and contributed book chapters in Türkiye Klinikleri series on pain management in small animals and dystocia in ruminants. He has also presented multiple oral and poster communications at national and international congresses, addressing reproductive disorders such as pyometra, uterine prolapse, transmissible venereal tumor, and ovarian pathologies in companion animals.
Dr. Aksu has participated in institutional research projects (BAP) on reproductive physiology, pain assessment in cats, and mastitis control in dairy cows. His academic interests include reproductive physiology, reproductive immunology, endocannabinoid biology, inflammation, and clinical applications in veterinary reproduction.
Volkan Ferahoğlu graduated from Amasya Anatolian High School in 2014 and, in the same year, commenced his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ondokuz Mayıs University. He completed his degree with first-rank honors on May 30, 2019. In 2020, he began his doctoral education at the Department of Veterinary Obstetrics and Gynecology, Graduate School of Ondokuz Mayıs University. The same year, he was awarded a scholarship within the scope of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) 100/2000 Program in Reproductive Immunology. Since 2022, he has been a research assistant at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ondokuz Mayıs University. In 2025, he completed his doctoral dissertation and earned a PhD degree.
