Professor at the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the University of Extremadura, and PhD in Computer Engineering since 2002. He was Director of the Computer Service at the University of Extremadura in 2004-2005, Director of the Telefónica Chair at the University of Extremadura 2011-2017, and is currently Director of the International Linux Reference Center since June 2006. He is the Director of the Opendata project of the University of Extremadura (http://opendata.unex.es) since November 2015.
I have more than 50 national and international publications, related to open linked data, and with the application of machine learning to the detection of crops from satellite images. He has participated in multiple regional and national projects, among which we can mention as principal investigator related to crop identification “agreement-implementation and development of an intelligent crop detection system”, “research in monitoring processes using artificial intelligence and in cartographic management, for the 2022-2023 campaigns.”, and “Development of data collection systems from IoT sensors on crops to support satellite images.”
