Dr. Maurizio Evangelista is working as a
Director of the Pain Therapy Operating Unit of the Catholic University of the
Sacred Heart/CIC, Italy. He has been a Researcher since 1 December 1994 (Adjunct
Professor) at the Institute of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of the Catholic
University of the Sacred Heart (UCSC), where he carries out his teaching and
assistance activities in the operating theaters, the post-operative intensive
therapy, and the center for the study of pathophysiology and pain therapy. He
is a Member of the National Commission “Pain Therapy and Palliative Care” of
the Ministry of Health from the institution (2010).
Prof. (Dr.) Riccardo Torta is an Associate
Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Neuroscience at the
University of Turin, Italy. He is also Director of Clinical and Oncological
Psychology at S. Giovanni Battista Hospital. During the period of 1980-2005, he
was a Researcher at the Department of Neuroscience. Dr. Torta has more than 500
printed publications (120 in English) and 20 books about psycho-oncology,
mood depression and neurology, neuro-psycho-pharmacology and neuroscience.
