Professor Lee Yoon-Jin is a professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine. Her primary research area is the development of cancer-specific metabolically targeted anticancer agents. During the formation, proliferation, and metastasis of cancer cells, these cells require metabolic shifts distinct from those of normal cells to generate energy, secure the substances necessary for cell proliferation, and maintain redox balance. These metabolic changes are a characteristic of cancer cells. Her research focuses on identifying these metabolic changes through energy metabolism pathway analysis and developing core technologies to control them, thereby developing novel metabolic anticancer therapeutics.
Prof. Dr. Dong Rak Kwon currently serves as a tenured professor and researcher at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Catholic University of Daegu School of Medicine in Daegu, Korea. He received his MD and PhD in Rehabilitation Medicine from the Pusan National University College of Medicine (2007). His research focuses on regenerative therapies for neuromusculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis, rotator cuff disease, and disc degeneration, using platelet-rich plasma, microcurrent, and stem cells. He is also active in brain disorder research (e.g., cerebral palsy, stroke, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s) with expertise in ultrasonography. Prof. Dr. Kwon has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, received more than 50 best presentation awards, and authored five journal cover papers. He currently serves as Chair of the Education Committee of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine..
