Author Biographies

M. Pilar Matud is a professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Psychobiology, and Methodology at the Universidad de La Laguna (ULL). She received a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology, a degree and a Ph.D. in communication, and a degree in nursing. She is a psychologist specializing in clinical psychology. Her research topics mainly include gender, health, stress, coping, gender violence, well-being, and gender and media.
Lorena Medina Rodríguez. PhD in Psychology from the University of La Laguna (ULL), Extraordinary Doctorate Award. General Health Psychologist with 20 years of professional experience. She has extensive complementary studies in gender, equality and gender violence, as well as specialising in the field of clinical and health psychology, assessment and psychological treatments. She has experience as a teacher in both university and non-university settings, training both professionals and the general population in gender and gender-based violence. Participating as a teacher, among others, in editions of the Master's Degree in Prevention and Intervention in Gender Violence and the Expert in Intervention in Gender Violence of the ULL. She has been a speaker at various conferences, symposiums and congresses. She has collaborated in several research projects and is co-author of several publications on gender violence.
