Prof. Jian Lin is an associate professor in mechanical and aerospace engineering at the University of Missouri (MU). He completed his BS studies in Mechanical and Automation Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2007, MS studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of California in 2010, and PhD studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California in 2011. He is a recipient of the 2015 ORAU Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award and 2016 Emerging Investigator of the Journal of Materials Chemistry. His research interests include smart manufacturing powered by artificial intelligence, soft materials, 3D/4D printing, and biomanufacturing.
