Micaela Schmid is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Computer and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pavia. She earned a B.Sc. in computer science engineering and a Ph.D. from the University of Pavia. She also earned a Diploma of Postgraduate Advanced Formation from the University Institute for Advanced Studies of Pavia and the University of Pavia (IUSS).

Stefano Ramat is a full professor of bioengineering at the University of Pavia. He earned a MSc in computer science engineering from the University of Pavia in 1995 and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1999. He was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at Johns Hopkins University. His scientific interests include eye movements, motor control, mathematical modeling, signal processing and computational intelligence.
