Imad A. Abu-Yousef earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from McGill University in 1996 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Biology, Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). Prior to joining AUS, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Ibri Women's College, Oman (1998–1999), an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Al al-Bayt University, Jordan (1997–1998), and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, McGill University, Canada (1995–1997). His main research areas include sulfur chemistry, organic electrochemistry, polymer chemistry, photocatalysis, medicinal chemistry, and the synthesis of new organic polychalcogenides.
