Dr. Xiaolong Zhang currently works as an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, China. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Yunnan University and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the Institute of Medical Biology, Peking Union Medical College. He also conducted his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Boston Children's Hospital. His main research directions are as follows: 1. The biological functions of the transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) binding protein GARP in antiviral immune responses, chronic inflammatory tissue damage, and other diseases, as well as targeted therapeutic approaches. 2. Development and evaluation of herpes simplex virus vaccines. 3. Research and development of novel vaccine adjuvants.
Dr. Ning Luan currently works as an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, China. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Engineering from Henan University of Science and Technology, a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Zoology from Nanjing Agricultural University. Her main research direction is the research and development of Th1-biased vaccine adjuvants. This involves developing novel Th1-biased vaccine adjuvants, evaluating their efficacy, optimal immunization schedule, immunization dose, and vaccination methods, and exploring vaccine scale-up processes.
