Fernando Moreno-Navarro is a landscape archaeologist specialised in the study of the Roman rural world through Geographical Information Technologies and Network Analysis. He is currently a research fellow at Università degli Studi Roma Tre, where he contributes to the Horizon Europe project ARGUS, focused on the remote monitoring of endangered cultural heritage. His recent research explores mobility, resource exploitation, and settlement patterns in the mountainous landscapes of the Monti Lucretili (Lazio, Italy) and other regions across the Mediterranean.He holds a PhD in Humanities from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and has undertaken research stays at the Escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma (EEHAR-CSIC), Durham University, and the Centre for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet) at Aarhus University.Fernando has collaborated on numerous archaeological projects related to Pre-Roman, Roman, and landscape archaeology, including the Western Megaris Archaeological Landscape Project (Greece), the Monti Lucretili Landscape Archaeology Project (Italy), the Numantia Archaeological Team, and the Renieblas Archaeological Project (Spain), among others.He holds a Licenciate degree in History and a Master’s degree in Geographical Information Technologies, both from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
