Author Biographies

Mahmoud El-Maghrabey received his BSc and MSc degrees from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, Egypt, and received his PhD degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nagasaki University, Japan. He is an Associate Professor at the Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University. He was an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nagasaki University. He has received many scientific awards, including the Egypt State Encouraging Award, the Mansoura University Encouraging Award, and the Kyushu Analytical Chemistry Award for Young Researchers from the Japanese Society of Analytical Chemistry. His research focuses on the development of new mass spectrometric, fluorescence, and chemiluminescence-detecting probes for bioactive substances, including quinones, aldehydes, metals, pharmaceuticals, food allergens, and pollutants. A key area of his work involves exploring the utility of the redox cycle of biomedical compounds for the development of a new chemiluminescence method for their analysis in various matrices. Currently, he is also focusing on developing non-enzymatic tags for immunoassays, as well as designing novel nanosensors based on carbon nanomaterials and their applications in pharmaceutical and environmental analysis.
