Thomas Pape is Professor of Entomology at the Natural History Museum Denmark, Copenhagen University. His research on the taxonomy, phylogeny and evolution of Diptera has a particular focus on calyptrate flies. He collaborates on Systema Dipterorum, which is an online resource for the nomenclature of all of Diptera. He is currently President of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature and Chair of the Catalogue of Life Global Team, and also a member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
