Guanbin Song is a professor of biomedical engineering at the College of Bioengineering, Chongqing University, in China. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Chongqing University and received a postdoctoral fellowship for foreign researchers from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). He completed his postdoctoral training at Tohoku University and Nagoya University in Japan. Dr. Song’s research interests focus on exploring
the mechanisms of cancer (stem) cell
mechanobiology regulated by
various mechanical, chemical or coupled mechano-chemical factors. Dr. Song holds
several patents and has published more than 200 international peer-reviewed
papers, as well as three chapters in books. He also serves as an editorial board member for the journal
of Current Stem Cell Research and Therapy, Current Gene Therapy, and Mechanobiology in Medicine.
