Prof. Fahmi earned, from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (2015). He is now Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. His work in digital technology has resulted in numerous publications, presentations, lectures, and courses, as well as memberships, including Senior Member of IEEE and PII (Indonesian Engineering Institute), and awards in Presidential Satya Lencana X.
