Professor Rao Li currently works in the Department of Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Rao performs research on graph theory in Mathematics and design and analysis of algorithms in Computer Science. He obtained his Ph.D. (with a concentration on graph theory) and M.S. (with a concentration on computer science) in May 1999. Between August 1999 and May 2001, he taught computer science and computer information science courses in the School of Computer and Information Sciences at Georgia Southwestern State University. He joined the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of South Carolina Aiken in Fall 2001. His research keywords are graph theory, Hamiltonian graph theory, spectral graph theory, the Zagreb indexes, and algorithms.
