Shaoxiong Brian Xu, PhD, currently serves as an assistant lecturer in the School of Foreign Studies at Huanggang Normal University and works as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of English and Communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, such as Accountability in Research, Science and Engineering Ethics, Minerva, Ethics & Behavior, Learned Publishing, Current Psychology, Lingua, Publications, and Nature Human Behaviour. His research interests include retraction, retraction stigma, research integrity, publication ethics, journalology, academic discourse, researcher identity, and higher education.
Guangwei Hu, PhD, is a professor of language and literacy
education in the Department of English and Communication and Associate Dean in
the Faculty of Humanities at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research
interests include academic literacy, English for academic/specific purposes,
English-medium instruction, scholarly publishing, and the psychology of second
language teaching and learning. He has published extensively on these and related
topics in refereed journals and edited volumes. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the
Journal of English for Academic Purposes.
