Dr. Margarita
Nikolaeva Terziyska is a tenure-track Associate Professor at the Department of
Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology at the University of Food
Technologies in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She holds a PhD in Informatics and Computer
Sciences from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia (2016), and a Master’s
degree in Technical Sciences from the Technical University of Sofia, branch
Plovdiv (2001). Dr. Terziyska has developed a strong academic and research
profile in the fields of artificial intelligence, informatics, computer
science, and statistical applications in engineering and social sciences. Her
academic career is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and
education, fostering innovation at the intersection of data-driven technologies
and applied sciences. In her current role, she actively contributes to both
undergraduate and postgraduate education while pursuing research projects that
integrate machine learning methodologies into practical domains.

Zhelyazko Petrov Terziyski is a Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of
Computer Science and Mathematics, Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He
holds a PhD in Informatics and Computer Sciences, with a thesis "Using
techniques from artificial intelligence to analyze and predict the properties
of peptides"(2024) from the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”,
and a Master’s degree in Technical Sciences from the Technical University of
Sofia, branch Plovdiv (1998). Dr. Terziyski has developed an academic and
research profile in the fields of artificial intelligence, TinyML,
internet of things, informatics, and computer science. His academic career is
dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and education.
Dr. Iliana Venkova Ilieva is a Chief Assistant Professor at
the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology at the
University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She holds a PhD in
Technical Sciences from the University of Food Technologies, Plovdiv (2016), a
Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics (2010), and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Informatics Education (2005), both from the University of
Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria. Dr. Ilieva’s research focuses on the
application of mathematical and statistical methods in engineering and social
sciences, aiming to develop innovative solutions for complex interdisciplinary
problems. Throughout her academic career, she has been actively involved in
teaching and research, contributing to the advancement of quantitative
approaches in scientific inquiry and education. Her work reflects a strong
commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications to
address contemporary challenges.
Dr. Stefan Iliev Bozhkov is a Chief Assistant Professor at
the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology at the
University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He holds a PhD in “Mathematics”
from the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski” (2015), a Master’s degree in
Applied Mathematics (2010), and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (2009), both
from the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria. Dr. Bozhkov’s research
focuses on the application of mathematical and statistical methods in physics and
engineering. Throughout his academic career, he has been actively involved in
teaching and research, contributing to the advancement of theoretical and quantitative
approaches in scientific inquiry and education. His work demonstrates his
commitment to advancing and integrating theoretical knowledge and practical
applications in order to deepen contemporary knowledge.
Dr. Veselin Vladev is a chief assistant professor at the
Department of Mathematics, Physics and Information Technologies at the
University of Food Technologies - Plovdiv. Since 2016, he has been a PhD in
Electrical, Magnetic and Optical Properties of Condensed Matter. He obtained a
Master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics in 2008 and a Bachelor's degree in
Physics in 2006. All three degrees were obtained at the University of Plovdiv
"Paisii Hilendarski". The scientific activity of Dr. Vladev is focused on
experimental physics, and in particular, on the field of fluorescence from
organic dyes and its applications. He is the coordinator of scientific projects
funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund.
