Prof. Shunyan Ning holds a bachelor's and doctoral degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of South China. She is a Young Innovative Talent at the University of South China, and a Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation (Outstanding) in Hunan Province. Her research focuses on nuclear chemistry and radiochemistry, specifically the development of advanced functional adsorption materials and the separation of key nuclides in post-processing processes. She serves on the 2023 Young Editorial Board of Rare Metals and is a guest editor for Metals. She is also a reviewer for several journals, including the following: Journal of Hazardous Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, Separation and Purification Technology, Journal of Rare Earths, and Nuclear Technology.

Prof. Lifeng Chen received a B.Sc. degree from East China University of Science and Technology (Shanghai), and a Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From January 2021 to December 2024, he was a Lecturer at the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, University of South China. From May 2021 to April 2023, he was a Technology Advisor (part-time) at Hengyang Zhiyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. He is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, University of South China. He has made significant research progress in the efficient separation and extraction of medical isotopes lead-212 and bismuth-212. The relevant results have been highlighted by authoritative media such as Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Guangming Online, China News Service, and Science and Technology Daily, and have been included in the 2024 Hengyang Municipal Government Work Report.
