Dr. Rahul Kumar is a veterinary pathologist
and a research assistant in the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine at
the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA. He holds a PhD in Veterinary
Pathology and Pathobiology from the University of Minnesota, along with an MS
and DVM from India. Dr. Rahul Kumar excels in combining pathology with
molecular virology, whole genome sequencing, immunodiagnostics, and vaccine
development to address complex animal health issues. His research interests center
on the pathogenesis, diagnostics, and control of chicken and turkey arthritis
reoviruses, as well as the development of a recombinant virus-vectored vaccine
for chicken and turkey arthritis reovirus.
