George Alex Stelea received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Informatics in 2016 and his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies in 2019 from the Transilvania University of Brașov. He is currently a teaching collaborator and research fellow with the Department of Electronics and Computers at the same university. Since 2009, he has worked as a web developer and software programmer in various national and international projects. From November 2017 to September 2019, he was a visiting student at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Cagliari, Italy. He is the coauthor of three academic textbooks and 17 journal and conference papers. His research interests include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, web accessibility, semantic web metadata, cybersecurity, digital inclusion, information and communication technologies (ICT), and the social Internet of Things (IoT). He is fluent in English, Italian, and Romanian, and has conversational skills in German and French.
Dan-Nicolae Robu received the Dipl.Ing. degree in telecommunications in 2001 and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and computer science in 2010 from Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania.His doctoral research focused on quality of service in mobile communications. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Electronics and Computers at Transilvania University of Brașov, where he teaches courses in computer networks, data transmission, and mobile communications. His academic work includes the development of telecommunications laboratory infrastructure and contributions to book chapters and educational materials. From 2001 to 2020,he held various engineering roles at Siemens and AtoS, contributing to the development, customization, and support of mobile core network platforms. His industry experience spans network architecture, system testing, and technical support in live GSM/UMTS networks. Dr. Robu research interests include mobile communications, network security, virtualization, and quality of service in heterogeneous systems.
Florin Sandu was born in Braşov, Romania, in 1959. He graduated as Dipl. Eng. from the Electronics and Telecom Faculty of Bucharest, in 1984 and got his PhD in1998 - with a thesis on Data Acquisition optimized for DSP - from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Faculty of the “Transilvania“ University of Braşov, where he is Professor, coordinating PhD research on Industrial Communications and Virtual Instrumentation, and Intelligent Networks for Telecom. Before the academic career, he worked in the helicopter industry, in spectrophotometers maintenance and in computer maintenance. Since 2001, he worked also as consultant for Siemens Program and System Engineering Romania, managing the technology transfer towards the university and a set of joint EU-funded research common projects mainly in tele-measurement and e-Learning based on remote experiments. He is the author or editor of technical books and author or co-author of numerous journal and proceedings papers - the result of many international academic exchanges and national research contracts.
