Zhenbin Zhang received his Ph.D. (summa cum laude) degree in
electrical and energy engineering from the Technical University of Munich in
2016. He was a postdoctoral fellow in electrical and energy engineering at the
Technical University of Munich. Since 2017, he has been a full professor at
Shandong University in Jinan, China. He is currently the director of the
Laboratory of More Power Electronics Energy Systems and the Institute of
Sustainable Energy and Smart Grids. Dr. Zhang received the 2017 VDE Award in
Suedbayern, Germany. He is also an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on
Power Electronics. He is currently an IET Fellow Member and an IET Chartered
Engineer. His research interests include power electronics and electrical
drives, sustainable energy systems, and smart microgrids. His research interests include power

microgrids.
