Prof. Dr. Chong Zhao is a professor at the School of Fisheries and Life Sciences of Dalian Ocean University. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in aquaculture from Dalian Fisheries University, and a doctorate in marine biology from Ocean University of China. His main research areas are the behavior of sea cucumbers and sea urchins, and aquaculture. He was selected into the Liaoning Province Youth Science and Technology Innovation Talent Training Program in the Agricultural Field, the Liaoning Province Higher Education Institutions Innovation Talent Support Program, and the Dalian Ocean University “Blue Scholar Talent Project”, and is an outstanding graduate tutor in Liaoning Province. He has presided over a number of scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published 80 SCI papers in international mainstream academic journals as the first author or corresponding author, and published 3 books. He has authorized 7 national invention patents and 10 utility model patents. He won 1 first prize of Liaoning Science and Technology Progress Award (6th finisher). He presided over the formulation of 1 Dalian Agricultural Technical Specification, participated in the formulation of 2 national industry standards, and 6 Liaoning Provincial Local Standards.
