Author Biographies

Peng Xia holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and currently serves as a lecturer at the College of Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Jimei University. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in June 2022. His research focuses on geotechnical engineering and slope engineering, particularly in the context of port, coastal, and offshore infrastructure. Dr. Xia has published 10 papers in SCI-indexed journals, including seven as the first or corresponding author. He holds five authorized national invention patents and six registered software copyrights. He is the principal investigator of one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and he has also led research projects supported by the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau.
Bowen Zeng holds a bachelor's degree in Port, Waterway and Coastal Engineering from Dalian Ocean University, awarded in June 2024. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the College of Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering at Jimei University. His research focuses on geotechnical engineering and slope stability. To date, he has published one research paper in an SCI-indexed journal and has participated in research projects supported by the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau.
Jie Liu holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering, which he received from Hefei University of Technology in June 2018. He currently serves as the Deputy General Manager at Xinjiang Academy of Transportation Sciences Co., Ltd. His research interests include geotechnical engineering, slope stability, and highway geological hazard prevention and control. Dr. Liu has led or participated in over 10 provincial, ministerial, and industry-funded research projects. He has published more than 60 academic papers, including 25 in high-impact journals indexed by SCI, EI, or recognized Chinese core journals. He is also the author of two academic books and has served as lead or co-editor for seven group or local technical standards. In addition, Dr. Liu holds a total of 23 authorized patents, including both invention and utility model patents. His work has contributed significantly to the development and application of innovative technologies in transportation geotechnics and disaster mitigation.
Yi-heng Pan received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2013 and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2018. He currently works in the College of Harbour and Coastal Engineering, Jimei University, Xiamen, China. His research interests include ocean engineering and tunnel engineering.
Xiaofeng Ye received his bachelor's degree in Science from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in June 2013. He is currently working at the Geophysical and Chemical Prospecting Center, Geological Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. His research focuses on geochemistry, geotechnical engineering, and geological hazard prevention and control. He has published multiple research papers and has served as principal investigator or participant in several scientific research projects in these fields.
