Author Biographies

Thitivadee Chaiyawat, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Chulalongkorn Business School, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. She earned her Ph.D. in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University, USA. Her teaching focuses on Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management, while her research and publications are centered on risk and risk management in insurance. Her academic work spans financial economics in insurance, insurance regulation, and insurer solvency, with a particular emphasis on risk-based capital frameworks. She is the author of a book on insurance risk management and has led multiple research projects advancing the understanding of financial risks in insurance markets. Beyond academia, Dr. Chaiyawat contributes her expertise to policy and regulatory development. She serves on the Risk-Based Capital Committee and the Insurance Development Plan Committee of the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) of Thailand. She has also been appointed as a committee member for the Royal Society of Thailand, contributing to the development of standardized insurance vocabulary. Internationally, she is actively engaged in the scholarly and professional community, serving on the Board of Governors of the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) and the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Financial Consumers (IAFICO).
Pannarat Guayjarernpanishk, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She earned her doctoral degree in Applied Statistics from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. Her expertise lies in applying advanced statistical methods to develop models across a range of disciplines, with a strong focus on solving practical and data-driven problems. Her research interests include statistical modeling, data analysis, and methodological development, particularly in applications related to finance, insurance, risk management, and the environment. Dr. Guayjarernpanishk has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, contributing to the advancement of statistical techniques for addressing real-world challenges. She continues to integrate applied statistical theory with interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance both academic and practical outcomes.
