Author Biographies

Areen Nassar is a doctoral researcher and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fellow at Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. His research focuses on forced migration and social work, with a particular interest in sustainability and well-being studies. Areen has also contributed to the field through publications, including a recent article titled Central Capabilities to Well-Being in the Context of Forced Migration: A Scoping Review of Capability Approach-Based Literature, published in the Journal of International Migration and Integration. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12134-024-01202-4 He has presented his research at national and international conferences, including the European Social Work Research Association (ESWRA), the international Social Work & Society Academy (TiSSA), and the Human Development and Capability Association (HDCA).
