Toufik Chouana is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Kasdi Merbah – Ouargla, Algeria. He obtained his Ph.D. in Food Science from the same university, where he currently supervises doctoral research in the field of food packaging and functional materials. His research interests include the development of biodegradable films, food safety indicators, and the valorization of agro-industrial byproducts. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and regularly collaborates on multidisciplinary projects related to sustainable food technologies. Dr. Chouana is also a member of various national scientific committees and actively contributes to academic and professional development in food science.
