1. He is a Colombian Industrial Engineer, university professor, and research contributor with a strong background in process optimization and industrial systems analysis. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering. He has professional experience in the food sector, in the development of improvement strategies for companies and in consulting on supply chain management. 2. He is an Associate Professor in the Departamento de Ingeniería de la Organización at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from Old Dominion University (ODU), and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He has professional experience in the national energy transportation sector, in the development of information systems, and in consulting on operations scheduling. He previously served as Director of the undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Medellín, and he is currently the Director of the Production and Operations Laboratory at the same university. His main research interests include Operations Scheduling and Operations Research. His teaching areas include Work Design and Measurement, Production Planning and Control, and Operations Scheduling.
