Dr. Francesco Prata is a Urologist Specialist (UOC Urology) at the Bio-Medico Campus University Hospital. He completed his MD studies in Medicine and Surgery with honors at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome in 2017. His research interests include fusion prostate biopsy, functional urology, oncological urology, andrology, endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment of upper and lower urinary tract stones, endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic oncological surgery.
Dr. Mariaconsiglia Ferriero is a Consultant Urologist at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. She completed her MD studies in Medicine at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, Italy, in 2007, her residency in Urology at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, Italy, in 2013, a PhD in Advanced Technologies in Clinical Medicine (2018), and her Master in Management of Health Care Companies in 2021. Her research interests include urine culture, urological diagnostics, specialist urological visits, urodynamic tests, uroflowmetry, rigid and flexible cystoscopy, transrectal prostatic ultrasound, prostatic biopsy, targeted prostatic biopsy (FUSION Eco/MRI), oncological urology, benign prostatic hypertrophy, and genitourinary infections.
Prof. Rocco Papalia received his Degree in Medicine and Surgery cum laude from the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome in 2001 and his PhD in Tissue Regeneration of the Locomotor Apparatus and Experimental Technological Applications from the same university in 2010. He obtained his Graduate Diploma in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2006 and was a visiting research fellow at the University of Pittsburgh in the same year. He has served in various academic and clinical roles at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, including associate professor (2015–2017) and Full Professor of Mutual System Diseases since 2017. Since 2016, he has been Director of the UOC Orthopaedics and Traumatology and Head of the Research Unit in Orthopedics and Traumatology. He has also held leadership roles in national orthopedic societies, including President of SICOOP (2021–2024), Vice President of SIOT (since 2024), and Vice President of SIAGASCOT (since 2023). His research topics include prosthetic and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery, sports traumatology, and cellular therapies using mesenchymal cells and growth factors.
